At Bedframe Direct, we feature two center support systems for
wooden
beds. Both the Bedbeam™ center support system and the
Lazarbeam™ center support system install into wooden beds. They
are meant to update or replace conventional wood slats. When you
purchase a new mattress or box spring for your wooden bed, we
highly recommend that you also purchase a Bedbeam™ system or
a Lazarbeam™ system to ensure that the mattress and box spring
have the necessary support. If you place a new mattress and box
spring on old wooden slats, your bed will not perform correctly and
you may void your mattress warranty if your slats are broken,
bowed,
or missing. Both the Bedbeam™ and Lazarbeam™ systems are excellent. The
Bedbeam™ System will support more weight than the Lazarbeam™
system. However, both systems are far superior to wooden slats
and are one thousand times more effective than any other metal
